Manchester derby preview! United vs City predicted XIs and latest news
uthor: Niven Marston December 8, 2017 Manchester United take on bitter rivals Manchester City on Sunday in what is being hailed as the fixture of the season. Pep Guardiolas City lead United in the table by 8 points, drawing just one game all campaign. United have been brilliant league-wise too, but are no match for Citys dominance thus far. A win for City at Old Trafford would make it a huge task for anyone to stop the Sky Blues, whereas a win for Mourinhos men would make the title race a whole lot more interesting. United have a few injury concerns heading into the game. Midfielder Marouane Fellaini is a slight doubt with a knee injury along with Zlatan Ibrahimovic who missed both of Uniteds last fixtures against Arsenal and CSKA Moscow. Phil Jones is likely to return following a calf injury he sustained whilst on international duty with England, but Michael Carrick and Eric Bailly will definitely miss out on the clash. Uniteds midfield will have taken a huge hit with Paul Pogbas absence following suspension, and Nemanja Matics injury is also a big concern, however Jose Mourinho says the Serbian WILL play. Manchester City could be without David Silva who is a doubt for the clash with a muscular injury. He will be joined on the sidelines by long-term absentee Benjamin Mendy, and John Stones who is out for the rest of 2017 with a hamstring injury. Predicted United XI De Gea Valencia, Lindelof, Smalling, Rojo, Young Matic, Herrera Lingard, Lukaku, Martial Predicted City XI Ederson Walker, Otamendi, Kompany, Delph De Bruyne, Fernandinho, Silva Sterling, Aguero, Sane Predicted score: 1-3
